Role Purpose
The Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in bridging business strategy with technical execution. This hands-on role ensures enterprise software solutions are designed and delivered to enable operational efficiency, support business goals, and deliver long-term value. Acting as a trusted advisor to both business and technology teams, the Solutions Architect drives the successful implementation of scalable, fit-for-purpose solutions aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Key ResponsibilitieS:
- Business Alignment: Translate business processes and functional requirements into solution architecture. Deliver implementation projects on time, on budget, and within scope, ensuring seamless integration with business systems.
- End-to-End Solution Ownership: Lead the configuration of software implementations to ensure solutions are business-ready, future-proof, and outcome-driven.
- Technical Delivery Oversight: Supervise build/configuration activities in alignment with design specifications and support solution testing.
- User Enablement: Contribute to the development and delivery of training materials for Super Users and End Users.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key business stakeholders to shape solutions, build alignment, and ensure technology investments meet operational needs. Build trust and confidence in solution direction and delivery.
- Risk & Impact Analysis: Identify and address technical and business risks early, proactively mitigating impacts on scope, timeline, or operations.
- Governance & Assurance: Ensure designs comply with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, compliance, and continuity planning.
- Vendor & Partner Collaboration: Work closely with third-party vendors and delivery partners to realize solution value.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement feedback mechanisms and performance tracking to enhance design methods, frameworks, and post-launch optimization.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven capacity to align technical solutions with measurable business outcomes
- Experience with large-scale software configuration and implementation
- Strong understanding of business processes, change management, and operational impacts
- Collaborative mindset across business, project, development, and vendor teams
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in solution architecture/software implementation within engineering or related sectors
- Deltek Costpoint expertise is highly desirable
- Certifications in project delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2) are advantageous
- Familiarity with business domains such as finance, supply chain, customer experience, or operations is a plus
